There is an undeniable elegance in having a box sized exactly to fit the treasure it contains. For rectangular items creating such a box can just require accuracy in measurement but for irregularly shaped things a whole new box making technique is necessary. In these three evenings you'll learn a box making technique originally used for cylindrical cases to store scrolls but which can be leveraged to make boxes of almost any shape. We will start out the first evening making a hexagonal box and in the following two evenings you'll be able to explore your own shapes. There will be interesting objects available but you should feel free to bring your own as well.  These boxes are made of layered paper, covered with leather and decorated paper.
