Please note that due to our e-commerce website, we are only allowed to bill monthly now instead of yearly. However we have put options as low as $1/month, if you would like to explore a lower rate and/or a yearly payment option please get in touch with us to discuss further. We are a judgement-free, trust-based studio and we honour all our members financial situations and all contributions are appreciated regardless of the amount.

To help you understand the costs of running our studio so you can make an informed choice, here is some information for transparency:

• Suggested Minimum: $60 / year ($5/month)

  • our administrative costs* of managing membership is covered.

• Basics Plus: $120 / year ($10/month)

  • allows us to put money towards studio—equipment / tool repairs and maintenance , AC in summer, etc.

• Sustainable: $240 / year ($20/month)

  • means we can save money for big emergency repairs (think—wash out area gets busted and water is leaking everywhere!), significant rental increases and other unexpected large expenses, and equipment and tool upgrades—all of which contribute to our sustainability as a studio

• Fun times: $600 / year ($50/month)

  • allows us to provide significant artistic opportunities for members and expanded community, e.g. membership exhibitions in which all artists gets paid an artist fee, scholarships for our paid classes, and subsidized kids programming.

• Visioning and Growth: Anything higher than $600 / year ($50/month)

  • provides us with the ability to grow as a studio and is an investment in our collective futures

*Administrative costs: detailed orientation for each member, materials inventory and general replenishing of materials included in membership fee (e.g. cleaning materials, paper towel, pens, pencils, scissors, Xacto blades, etc.), bookkeeping including invoicing, general membership communications throughout the year.

Community

• Free monthly “Switch Stitch and Bitch” youth club (paused due to COVID-19)
